We know that anything could be discovered while on a job. When you’re knocking down walls, digging up foundations and generally exploring where no one else has gone for years, chances are that you’re going to uncover something that no one expected to find.
However, a recent story has got us thinking about all those strange things our listeners and the wider community have found.
Hidden Treasure
It was a group of builders in Belgium who made a newsworthy discovery in recent days as they worked on laying new sewage pipes. It was while they were drilling in a cellar, in a building in East Flanders, that they came across something spectacular.
£7.6 million worth of coins and gold bars were hidden in the walls of the property. While whoever this fortune belongs to has 5 years to claim their cash, once that time elapses, the owners of the property and the builders themselves will get to split the prize.
