Checkatrade, a home improvement platform, has announced the winners of its annual awards at a ceremony held at Wembley Stadium this week.
Andy Kille, from Andy Kille Building and Property Maintenance in Preston, took home the prestigious title of Builder of the Year.
At the same time, Shoaib Awan, The Gas Expert, and the anti-tool theft champion, was named Community Hero.
Dean Hopgood from Portsmouth won Carpenter of the Year, and Ashwin Ganger was declared the Electrician of the Year.
The Painter & Decorator of the Year title went to Clinton Hobson from Doncaster, while Nicholas Eveleigh, from Newton Abbot in Devon, was awarded the Plasterer of the Year crown.
Following four regional awards nights held across the country, 14 exceptional tradespeople were crowned winners in categories recognising their expertise, professionalism, and dedication to their craft, and one trade was chosen as the overall Trade of the Year.
