We’re now expanding our commercial team and looking for an ambitious Account Manager to help us drive new business into the station. Who are we? 

Fix Radio: The Builders Station, has been on air for over eight years, delivering music, entertainment, and information designed around the working lives of UK tradespeople.

With over 600,000 tradespeople tuning in every week, Fix Radio has fast become the go-to station for UK builders, offering a targeted media route to advertisers trying to reach this hard-to-access audience.

Other platforms come with heavy wastage. Fix Radio offers something different: a pure trade audience, built around the rhythms of the working day.

What You’ll Be Selling

You’ll be selling integrated advertising campaigns including radio airtime, branded content, sponsorships, events, competitions and digital campaigns. Your focus will be on new business, targeting brands across the construction sector and beyond that want to engage our audience of tradespeople. Fix Radio is the only station built specifically for the trade, and you’ll help partners connect their brands with this unique high-value audience.

Job Opportunity Summary

  • Fix Radio is uniquely positioned to help brands connect with tradespeople across the UK. 
  • As a valued Account Manager, you’ll play a central role in driving our commercial growth by identifying and converting new partners to the station.
  • You’ll be responsible for prospecting, meeting management, presenting creative and effective campaigns to secure new revenue. 
  • You will be supported by a passionate, experienced and collaborative commercial/creative solutions team working closely with them at every step of the process
  • This role offers huge scope and autonomy, offering strong earning potential and a chance to work in one of the most dynamic media environments in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and approach new business prospects across relevant sectors
  • Develop and deliver compelling sales pitches and proposals
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities
  • Close deals and secure campaign bookings in line with targets
  • Work with the content and production teams to ensure smooth delivery
  • Track activity and maintain records using our internal CRM

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in B2B sales or Account Management
  • Radio Experience strongly preferred but not essential
  • Clear confident communicator who enjoys the thrill of chasing new business from lead generation and closing opportunities 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Motivated, well organised and pro-active
  • Comfortable working independently with the support of the wider team
  • Commercially minded and keen to learn

The Package

  • Salary: Competitive Base + performance-based commission structure (Competitive OTE)
  • Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays
  • Hours: 9am to 5pm
  • Location: Remote-first, with attendance required at our monthly team meetings in London
  • Contract: Permanent, with a 6-month probation period
